  16. Alembic / Object Technologies Offers Pentium OpenStation for NeXTStep

  18. ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO - December 1, 1994. Alembic / Object Technologies,
  19. Inc. announced today the release of the first of its new Alembic
  20. OpenStations for NEXTSTEP / OpenStep.

  22. "This hardware portion of our bundled NEXTSTEP Complete Solution
  23. Systems  (NCSS) provides a means to bring NEXTSTEP to even the most
  24. budget conscious consumer", says Jim Pratt, President of Alembic
  25. / Object Technologies, "We now have a robust Pentium machine which
  26. provides a economical solution for NEXTSTEP in addition to our line
  27. of Canon object.stations and Hewlett-Packard PA-RISC workstations".

  29. The Basic OpenStation is a 90 MHz Pentium based system designed as
  30. an inexpensive deployment workstation while still providing the
  31. performance necessary to operate in a NEXTSTEP networking environment.

  33. The Basic Development OpenStation is built around the need for
  34. multiple threads and extensive object libraries and development
  35. tools. The OpenStation is also designed with expandibility in mind,
  36. and can be converted for use as a low-cost server.

  38. Alembic provides a complete line of hardware as part of their
  39. NEXTSTEP Complete Solution Systems (NCSS). Bundle configurations
  40. exist for all needs as well as customized indiviudal and network
  41. systems.

  43. Alembic, in addition to offering the new OpenStation, has arrangements
  44. in place to offer several solution specific software bundles ranging
  45. from a Basic Student Package which includes both NEXTSTEP User and
  46. Development environments (including Enterprise Objects Framework)
  47. and over 600 Mb of software on three CDs, to a fully loaded Internet
  48. Graphics Package which includes all the software for applications
  49. development, Internet access, and Graphics / Presentation Design.

  52. is why Alembic also supplies an Internet Science Package which
  53. includes all the latest software for Graphics / Presentation Design,
  54. Mathematical and Statistical Modelling, as well as the Internet
  55. Connectivity Tools.

  58. User, Basic Developer, Advanced Developer , and Power Development
  59. Systems. Leasing is available for commercial and institutional
